Antenatal Yoga
Antenatal Yoga & Birth Preparation Classes
Effective, practical, calming and nourishing techniques to support you through the different stages of pregnancy and birth. Includes vital breath-work, relaxation, strengthening postures and ways to alleviate aches and pains. The course is followed by optional workshops and top-up sessions / courses plus one-to-two (partners welcome and encouraged) Birth Rehearsal sessions.
Wednesday evenings (except the last Wednesday of each month) 8pm-9.30pm, Christchurch Hall, Frome, Park Rd. Please contact Sundari Miranda for details of her current courses.
Starts: 8pm-9.30pm (6 sessions)
Investment: £54 (payment in installments possible)
Equipment supplied, although for extra comfort you may wish to bring a cushion and blanket. Please leave a message for Sundari Miranda on 01373 813410 or email her if you have any questions, or to book your place.
Course Discount Fees:
Drop in options are available for £9 per session for those whose due date are in the first 2 weeks of the course. Please contact me in due date is in 3rd or 4th week of course.
I can not discount for one or two sessions missed, even when know in advance - sorry.
Entry into the course is generally from 13 / 14 weeks onwards.
Sundari Miranda Falconer has been practicing yoga and meditation for 12 years, and began teaching in 2004, after a daily 3-month intensive teacher-training program in Thailand. She is a certified Hatha and Chakra Yoga Teacher; specializing in the connections between yoga and it’s impact upon psychological and physiological well being. She has studied many form of yoga settling now for a gentle, yet strengthening, flowing meditative form of Hatha yoga. In 2006 she began an apprenticeship program with the internationally acclaimed Yoga Therapist, Mukunda Stiles and graduated as a Structural Yoga Therapist (SYT). She regularly sees clients on a one-to-one basis in yoga therapy practice in Somerset, where she lives with her family.
Sundari is also a Sitaram Pregnancy Yoga Teacher, after an apprenticeship program during her own pregnancy in 2009 with fellow colleague and trainer Uma Dinsmore-Tuli: one of Britain's most respected Pregnancy Yoga Teacher trainers. Her and her husband, Nirlipta, are the founders of sitaram and partnerships (www.sitaram.org). Sundari completed her training in the summer of 2009 and has been running classes ever since. She also offers birth rehearsal sessions for partners to attend. The classes are very nourishing and supportive of the relationship between mum and babe. The sequences are strengthening for the body, emotions and mind and the breathwork is extremely effective and practical, both for the mother's journey through pregnancy and for the birth itself.
